电影原著《盐的代价》（the price of salt） 是美国著名的女性犯罪小说家 patricia highsmith 在 1952 年用笔名 claire morgan 发表的中篇女同小说，直到 40 年后她才承认自己是作者，并于 1990 年以本名在英国重新发表这部小说，并改名为《 carol 卡罗尔》。

原著故事情节部分来自于 patricia 一段亲身经历，那是 1948 年的圣诞节，当时 patricia 在商场里当玩具销售员，因为在百货公司的洋娃娃专柜看到一位身穿皮草优雅的金发女人，于是用两个星期写成了《盐的代价》；由于题材敏感，最初还被出版社拒绝发行。

为什么叫「盐的代价」？因为在 17 世纪「盐」的另一个意思是指「女性的情欲」；恰好隐喻了书中女主人翁的处境，也为了爱，相爱的人愿意及所要付出的代价。 （百度资料／互联网图）

这是一部蛮新的电影
不过现在我只想说下 carol 的饰演者 cate blanchett
老实说，第一次看还真觉得有点闷
第二次看才慢慢看出戏味来
是的，这戏真的就得慢慢看，慢慢从细节看，从内心看
你会发觉，原来真的好戏，真的不需要太多的表情
cate blanchett 是谁吖？只知她是 2014 oscar 影后
那再看看这，对了，她就是电影《魔戒》的「女王 elf queen galadriel」
就因为喜欢那对「尖耳朵」，戏份不多，oscar 影后的她也接演了女王，她真的可以，我喜欢！
